We generally do not try to stay at Western hotels when we travel, but this was an exception. Staff was great, room was delicious, water pressure was divine. Comfy bed, cheap buffet next door plus only a couple of blocks from the urban bus station. Easy. Breakfast was ok, but not to write home about. The bus from the urban transit station to the waterfall park or the bird park is only about 20 minutes and costs R$2.85. totally worth it. See the Bird Park, it is wonderful and a good few hours in the late afternoon. Closes at 5pm, be there by about 3pm to see the birds active. Great hummingbird and butterfly observatory too.

We are staying in this hotel as part of a Toucan tour. The rooms are very clean and nice, compared to what we have been staying in. The TV has lots of English channels which is nice for us. The breakfast is very good but we have to pay for the internet.
Would recommend this hotel. We don't know what the prices are though.

I visited the magnificent Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side today. I was fortunate to have a spectacular sunny day to enjoy the cascades, which produced numerous beautiful rainbows to accent the experience.

Got up at 12:03 p.m. in Foz do Iguazu, Brazil. Oh man, I'm tired. I just slept 12:20! Holy ****. Quickly got ready and left the …

I experienced the magnificence of Iguazu Falls for the second day today, this time from the Argentine side.

Get up at 11:35 a.m. at my hotel in Foz do Iguazu, Brazil. Overslept again. Quickly get ready and walk out of my room at 12:07 p.m., heading to the nearby bus station. I find the stop for the transborder bus to Puerto Iguazu, …

The night bus to Foz was less than pleasant with bright lights, demented old ladies and Ruth snoring. No sleep was had and we went almost straight to the Brasilian side of the falls that morning. Started with a bird park which was fantastic, full of parrots and butterflies. Then to the falls themselves which were breath taking. Ruth attracted lots …

... The birds were really impressive. Megs loved the Tucans where as my favourites were the hummingbirds. After the bird park we went and checked out the falls from the Brazilian side. Again very impressive. This side offered more perspective on the size of the falls. It also offered a better spot for some snaps. That evening we had a fairly raucous night with another tucan tour ...
