We awoke to an overcast sky. After finding the local post office in the lovely little town of Exeter, we asked for a breakfast recommendation and were told to go to the Huron Cafe, just two blocks down the road. We arrived about 10 am to find a gathering of The ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) which got me to wondering - why can't my group meet at a reasonable time like 10 am? So...it's actually happening. I'm leaving. I have not been to a different continent since I started working a 'real' job which doesn't make sense. I've been fighting off the travel bug by watching, reading Bourdain. But I want to see these things myself. In a few hours, I board flight #1 of 15. I've been really busy. We did see one huge ship in one of the locks. It takes about 30 minutes for the ships to get through each lock so we didn't see the ship head through the lock, but it was crazy to see how little room there is in the locks around the ships. It is a tight space and I couldn't imagine trying to get a ...
