    ... the port as we still had quite a bit of petrol. Well, adventure struck again , I took a wrong turn and we were going over this huge bridge. We had a moment of panic thinking we might be on our way into the USA but no we ended up in Welland.     Day one of the campaign proper begins in earnest.
    we are all so keen to get back on the water after the forced break due to travel. The team are all packed and ready to go on time, even Joe....after his third trip back to his room. The team were asked 3 simple questions to which they responded with gusto:-

    We awoke to an overcast sky. After finding the local post office in the lovely little town of Exeter, we asked for a breakfast recommendation and were told to go to the Huron Cafe, just two blocks down the road. We arrived about 10 am to find a gathering of The ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) which got me to wondering - why can't my group meet at a reasonable time like 10 am? Then I remembered that we are all basically crazy, so why not at 6:00?

    ... has a regional airport at one end, we saw a Porter Airlines Dash 8 turbo prop coming into land in front of the city's high rises, which added to the excitement of the trip.

    Arriving on the island, the crowd on the ferry quickly dispersed in the various directions available, and the large size of the island became apparent to us.
