Lorraine and Harvey have made us feel so welcome and we've had a lot of laughs during our visit. As they say, it takes time to grow old friends.......
We will be based here in St. Catharines for the next four days, visiting with friends and relatives and attending a Parson's family reunion.
So...it's actually happening. I'm leaving. I have not been to a different continent since I started working a 'real' job which doesn't make sense. I've been fighting off the travel bug by watching, reading Bourdain. But I want to see these things myself. In a few hours, I board flight #1 of 15. I've been really busy. Reading, working, loosely planning etc. But have yet to feel excited.

As he was local we asked his opinion on where to take us and he suggested CAA Car Care Centre as they would be able to do the job right away. So we climbed aboard and he towed us there. So here we are waiting around whilst a mechanic looked at this and that and after a failed test drive hauled it back in the workshop to rebuild the carberator after lunch. With two hours still to wait for the fireworks when we finished our meal we decided to head back to the house rather than twiddle our thumbs, so after squeezing into the Quattro we settled down to watch the new version of Red Riding Hood starring Amanda Seyfried hoping it wasn’t too scary for our easily-scared constitutions. ...
