... t have been as doable while lugging all of our gear up.
Special shout out to Brian and his friends Kevin and Sam for driving us and then rescuing us in Sonoita.
On another note: I realized it's really hard to eat when my body is this exhausted.
Under 20 miles= eat everything in sight.
Over 20 miles= want to puke.

I honestly thought we wouldn't make it at times. Not that we had a choice. It was hot with steep prolonged hills. We were literally chasing the clouds as they flew in the same direction of our travel. We had a headwind for a few big hills which made us hop off and walk our bikes. Brian was riding a single speed, which was brutal on these hills. I took up the rear for the majority of the time. Logan is super strong so he was pacing us. We were all hurting pretty bad by mile 40 ...
We set out on Thursday for Tubac Golf Resort after a bike ride and arrived about three hours later. After settling in we were hosted by the Delaney/Hecox duo in their new home. Our accommodations are lovely and the resort is a charming destination. I broke 90 for the first time of the season, so am smiling! ...

We bid the border guy a good day and wandered the U.S. side of the fence, wanting to get pictures. There are people at the fence talking to friends and family on the other side....holding hands through the fence......socializing and just seeing family. It's very quiet ...

I explained to our guide as I am unable to see the person giving the hand-signals. That was fine, as long as there was no holding back. Annie turned down any talk of tandem flying for her.
