Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the forest is regularly shrouded in a coastal marine layer fog, contributing to a wet environment that encourages vigorous plant growth. The result is a beautiful cool woodland with enormous trees towering above us. We ...

It seemed to take a while to get out of California - maybe we had more attachments to it than we realized:) After stopping at a friends house in Sonoma to repack the large amount of "necessities" we jammed into our car during the mad dash out of our apartment a few days prior, we finally hit the road!

It was nice to soak up the Nor ...
