... figured out which garden plants to plant in order to control bugs such as attracting lady bugs to take care of aphids which are a death sentence for grapes. They have several owl boxes and bluebird boxes to attract the birds which also help with insects. Ingenious!! As you walk the grounds there are several spots where you can read about what this family is doing and how it is done. Hats off to them!
I woke up a tad hungover as there was no drinking water in the bnb room. I had a shower, grabbed my stuff and then left the bnb. I grabbed a 'continental breakfast' at a café round the corner from the bnb which was run by a French guy. I don’t think it was worth 12 dollars for what I got, but the fruit salad and orange was good at removing the hangover. A really camp black guy came into the store at some point and sat near me moaning about ...
Up early and then back to the "Campsite Full" redwood state park (damn, still full) so we went on a 6'ish mile bike ride along an old rail bed, stopping mid-way for lunch in a neat little grocery store that had….of all things….Mediterranean food in its lunch offerings (Holly’s mood picked up considerably!)
After the bike ride, back to Hwy 1 and a trip into Point Reyes State Park. Lots of beautiful scenery, and we got out of the car at ...
