    How Many Wineries? Part 1

It has been a few days since I last blogged. So much to do, see and taste since we have been in Sonoma Valley. The campsite we are staying at has quite a few merit points, (quiet, grassy area, treed, river), but it has moved us all into more of the true camping mode. No Wi-fi, TV, Internet, washers/dryers. Mom calls this roughing it! So where to begin....did you know there are over 3000 wineries in California. We are staying in an area called ...

Plan for Christmas Day in San Francisco was to take a gentle stroll across the famous Golden Gate Bridge and get the ferry back from Sausalito. We found breakfast at Jacks in the Wharf which was amazing. Will be visiting on the return journey as they serve 60 beers and cider and we might need it!!! We clearly didn't figure that the 1.7 mile bridge walk was preceded by a 6k walk to the bridge and then a hike and a half down in to Sausalito. 16.5k and 3.5 hrs ...

... realised that I could just cycle to Belvedere and return the bike the next day, as it was a 24 hour rental.

So I managed to park the bike before talking to another Irish guy about where to park it. I headed to a burger joint that people where queuing out the door for the last time I arrived. I took it to the park and watched the boats go by, and yes it was really tasty. I then jumped on my bike and cycled towards Belvedere along the ...
