... the GPS for Savannah which was about a 35-minute drive from Bluffton.

For years we've thought about going to Savannah, but it was somewhat of a disappointment over what we saw in quaint Beaufort and Bluffton. We ended up taking a hop-on/hop-off tour bus driven by "Tammy" - a lady from Winchester, Tennessee that drove the bus with her left foot, her whole body turned to the passengers and just couldn't ...

After resuming our journey, navigating became a bit of a challenge. We managed, even though we missed a couple of turns, to make it to Edisto Island without getting lost. We had set out from Lexington at 9:30 AM and arrived at "The House" around 8:00 PM. The total drive time was probably only 9 hours. The three stops with the pup and the hour long ordeal to save a few bucks added at least an hour and a half to hour overall travel time.

When we pulled up to ...

Yesterday was a long day of travel. I went for a another short walk first thing and ate breakfast. My people packed up all the things we'd taken into the nice place we'd stayed overnight - then they left! I climbed onto of my mommy's open suitcase on the desk and stayed there so they wouldn't forget me! Mommy laughed so hard when she saw me on the suitcase!! We all got in the car and ...

... winter along the South Carolina coast. While
sanderling and willet feed at waters edge, we search for the shells
and sharks teeth the ocean casts out. Sunshine or clouds, in calm or
through wind, time spread out before us, we plod along, picking
though the rubble of the passing tides searching for little things to
    treasure.

    Campground after campground we set-up
