... the GPS for Savannah which was about a 35-minute drive from Bluffton.

For years we've thought about going to Savannah, but it was somewhat of a disappointment over what we saw in quaint Beaufort and Bluffton. We ended up taking a hop-on/hop-off tour bus driven by "Tammy" - a lady from Winchester, Tennessee that drove the bus with her left foot, her whole body turned to the passengers and just couldn't ...

We all hopped in the car yesterday and headed to Botany Beach, a must see we were told. Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve and Wildlife Management Area is 4,687 acres and consists of two plantations: Bleak Hall and Sea Cloud. Yesterday was a long day of travel. I went for a another short walk first thing and ate breakfast. My people packed up all the things we'd taken into the nice place we'd stayed overnight - then they left! I climbed onto of my mommy's open suitcase on the desk and stayed there so they wouldn't forget me! Mommy laughed so hard when she saw me on the suitcase!! We all got in the car and ...

... This is the mindset I am working from as we start out for the
      jug-fill.

We chose the beach road out with the ocean to port.
House after house broken only by a narrow Beach Access
on each block. The ride offers a good workout, pulled along through
the climbing house numbers, the 100's the 200's...and on. Passing all
of these big, beachfront homes, ...
