Well we finally arrived home today!! After 65 days we logged 9,217.7 miles, 201.2 hours driving. 7 states, Alaska and 6 in the lower 48, In Canada, 4 provinces and 1 territory. Wow what a journey, many unforgettable sights and new friends made!! But there's no place like home & family. Upon our arrival had a visit from lots of the grand kids and even an uninvited guest, a skunk in our garage, we do live in the woods!! He did depart after a few hours. Well that's about it, THE ...

We slept in a house last night! We woke up refreshed at Rod and Susan Liefer's house near Rose Bud. My Rod met Rod and Susan in a country bar in Nashville a few years before, so we were lucky to have a farm contact to visit. Farmers in this area have several smaller parcels of land that grow very ...

... Sybils was suggested for fine dining but the wait was too long. We headed next door to Country Bob's for down home cooking and at half the price. Missouri wines are terrible, but we go tasting anyway! the Norton grape grows well here which is used in most reds; and it is the worst. Even Missourians agree at least those that are knowledge about wine. The Cave Winery is the best of the lot and its unusual setting makes it fun. Thankfully we ...
