    ... He was very good about it.

    At some stage I ordered a surprise snack. I knew squid would go down well and left the details up to the waiter. Superb is the word. Possibly the best food I've eaten in Serbia. Grilled squid one side, fried squid the other and ind the middle - boiled potatoes topped with silver beet and garlic. Apparently common in the Balkans. Silver beet will be in short supply once I'm back.
