    ... of pics and walked up onto the bridge (100th anniversary) but neither of us were wearing hiking/walking shoes so we decided not to treck to the top of the falls. The next stop was at a small gorge but we took a few nice photos, and then continued on to Horsetail Falls, which was also pretty but nothing like Multinomah.     I spent a couple more days hanging out with the trail crew, swimming in rivers during the day and finding new pubs during the night. It only took 2 days of this before I was pining for pines and mounting my next mountain adventure. On my last day in South Lake Tahoe I went out bouldering with Nate, Evan and Jake.     ... showers are short and it is warm so you dry out quickly. So apparently the thing to do is just get on with it. We duly didn't take an umbrella, but we weren't aware that a rain 'shower' in Portland, whilst generally short, actually is comparable to an English downpour. We got very wet!
