    This was a fine overnight. We left Caroline beach at first light and headed back
    south on the ICW magenta line.
    We arrived Southport early morning in time for me to get set up for work.

    Southport is a cute town with some fun shops and interesting restaurants.

    ... boring white cooler behind the bar. the bar itself has a maze of odd rooms to hang out in. One was a dark living room with old sofas and chairs and a big screen TV. Then around the corner a sandy outdoor space with corn hole games. picnic tables; and weird water falls with gaudy fish statues.

    ... was a complimentary drink at the bar each night of our stay and breakfast for two. Shortly after reaching our room we tuned into ABC internet radio (incidentally BBC Test Match Special block overseas commentary, yet we hear the very same through ABC Australia, very strange).
