We got up early enough to have breakfast at the hotel and attend 9:30 Mass at St. Ignatius of Loyola, a lovely little church less than a mile from the hotel. They had a display in the vestibule telling the history of the parish. Fr. Jacques Marquette (aka Père Marquette) himself founded the parish and named it after the patron saint of the Jesuits …

... It's been an honor prepping the team with Gayle and I'm excited to meet everyone in country.

Two of our team members are leaving a couple of days early, two of us will be flying from Appleton WI and the rest of the team will be flying with our host Brian and Gayle Hale.

Check back often and keep up to date with all of our experiences and learnings.

          The other real problem is:

          • The ferry leaving that's closest to us is an old model and take 5.5 hours.
          • The ferry leaving 2 hrs south of us is a jet ferry ...

The weather was nearly perfect - mostly clear skies and temperatures in the mid-20s during the day.

We got VIP passes to the Cirrus lounge - not a great deal in there but the water and coffee was free. There is a vibrant Women in ...
