    rooms have two single beds in them. no gym facilities but those who stay here can use the gym at the nearby hotel compass. Restaurant in the hotel is good and within walking distance from other restaurants.

    This morning we drove through Slovenia's only National Park. The park covers a few mountains near the Slovenia, Italy, and Austria borders.     ... somehow managed to repel them by shouting and waving a large knife at them; the lift he caught with a pair of Albanian police officers who instructed him not to wear a seatbelt (just as they were - apparently it’s normal in Northern Europe) and spent the journey jokingly waving around their pistols while driving (!!!); and an Indian guy who, while showing him directions in Russia, held Colin’s hand - as is apparently quite normal for Indian blokes but not exactly ...

    ... Walked back down the hill and got an ice cream (melon) and sat down to eat those, then went back to the hostel and booked the next places - decided to go to another place in Slovenia for a night on the way to Vienna, not really sure why! Went to the supermarket and got tea and lunch for tomorrow - bread nachos and salsa - and got pudding for €0.17 each.. ...

    ... and with the rainfall, it was wet everywhere and very cold! I was wearing 4 layers of clothing, a hat, gloves and scarf and was still shivering! This was only the beginning. The good thing was that they have paved the walkways with anti-slip material and it wasn't slippery at all. Also, the river was rising at a rapid pace.     That night when we got back, we went out to this bar area that I can only explain as falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland.
