... me away from the time I could spend with my mom. My mom passed away when I was 18 and after that I began to develop a liking to traveling because I did not see the point in going back to an empty home. Initially I think I was traveling because I was running away from memories but then as I grew older, I began to fall in love with traveling. For most people traveling is all about experiencing new cultures, trying new foods or seeing new places. ...

Finally at 3:00 pm the counters opened for British Airways (the Horchaks) and Delta (us), and we checked in and began departure formalities, which went pretty quickly. A huge progress day!

... It was dark, crowded and very quiet - everyone was listening intently to their audio-guides. Well we all know what happened next. Adalia began screaming, Samuel wanted food and people were staring. Every time I managed to pacify them a security guard would come and tell me off! "Sorry Mam, no sitting on the ground, no food". I had no choice but to leave 5 minutes after entering. I told Tom not to rush through the exhibition as he ...

... shooting range, where we got to shoot a 12 gauge shotgun at some clay pigeons - turns out I'm not so good at moving targets :). However we then went to a family farm to shoot pistols & hand guns & if I say so myself I'm pretty darn good at it! We had soooo much fun this day learning all about the different types of ammo & gun calibre s. Kes was very patient with us both & it was nice to learn something different as well as getting to be like ...
