... looking at my phone when it happened! When we got almost to St. Louis, we got off the highway to go to a place called Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. I read this was the best spot to get a picture of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline. When we got there we had the place to ourselves so we got some great photos! We left Mammoth Caves National Park this morning a little after 6:00 am, drove through the southwest tip of Indiana, southern Illinois, and into St. Louis, MO a little after noon. A lot of flat farmland.....not a lot of interesting sights along the way. Still no rain though.

So, we headed for St Louis and Kamie insisted that we stop in Licking and get a Godfather's Pizza. It was good! I was so glad I was the driver today so I couldn't overindulge. Kamie, on the other hand, made a piggy of himself! HaHa

... thats a pretty good description of your vehicle up the arch, as its a little white pod that seats 5 and it all of 4 ft high. So off you trundle throughthe arch til you reach the top, and look out little windows that face down over St Louis. You are still inside so its a rather limited view, but impressive all the same. You can see 2 states which is more than the Prudential building in Boston could claim, and equal to the Empire State Building.
