    Pecos, Odessa Tx.

It's been 18 years since our Odessa Tx drama. Now, we are passing through for the first time since that dramatic, yet humorous night back in August of 1995. We had moved to Odessa to oversee a financial investment we had made in the area. The investment went sour; we hated the Odessa area; and just wanted to return home to the Pacific NW. Unfortunately, things weren’t quite that simple and we were unable to do so ...

... I also took a picture of the front grill of the car, that thing is covered with looks like a beard.

Not much to see traveling across the Texas desert...abandoned cars, cows, chevy trucks, over the road truckers, refineries, oil pumpjacks and wind turbines. We made it to Pecos TX for the evening. Wanted to go out for dinner for some Texas BBQ but apparently no BBQ places are open ...

As we pass Midland, the land begins to look a little better with fields of crops but also with oil wells neatly placed in the fields.

And if you doubt Texas is not looking to the future in energy it is erased as you pass through Abilene and see fields of ...

San Antonio was beautiful. The hotel kind of stunk but we got comped a couple of the nights. :)
We walked all over. It was cool because there was a anime convention in town and there were so many people walking around dressed up. We went on a trolley tour and learned so much.
It was great meeting up with my friend, Jana because we had never met before. :)
The Alamo was so cool. Amazing seeing it for real. This whole trip is so dream like. it is wonderful to see how the landscape ...
