    This morning we left Queenstown for a drive through the west coast of the Southern Island of New Zealand on our way to Greymouth. On our way, we stopped at a local vineyard. As we arrived at the vineyard, theyput us to work chasing the birds away from the grapes . They had the vines covered with Netting to protect the grapes from the birds, but apparently one or two birds had snuck in and they were about to try to shoo them away.     ... dogs; rather smaller than larger dogs. Compared to 1996, the bike model has changed. Back then, I mainly saw mountain bikes. Today almost none. Instead, two other types. Racing bikes and city cruisers. The sportive guys had the racing bikes and the hipsters at any age rode the cruisers. The cruisers have naked handlebars. No handbreaks, no gear shift. Back to basics.
    For a late lunch, I had a healthy (?!) avocado-turkey burger - yummy!

    ... shopping at Costco where Matt bought a few business shirts, 2 belts, socks and some food. Jude was starting to feel unwell and we realised it was almost 4pm and she hadn't eaten all day.     ... shock and awe, not just for the opportunity to see Ellen, but for the initiative, the love, the commitment and dedication to the task. This was a team effort beyond compare.
    And so, with love, gratitude, happiness and a very warm heart, I best be off to bed now...
