      ... town of little Washington. Located on a canal and full of senior citizens who have leased lots. Next stop is Myrtle Beach, NC. We ended up staying in Myrtle for 8 days while we had the RV roof repaired. Thank goodness for insurance as the roof bill was $2600. Our deductible is $250.       ... the jeep since we were in a back-in site. When we did leave, the street in front of the campground was flooded, but vehicles were going by and, while we needed to drive slowly for a couple of blocks, we were able get out of town. Also, the road crews had been out early grading and moving the sand off the roadway so we made it off the island and to the mainland without any issues.       ... down a little bit; kids were running around, free as birds. Everyone knew everyone (which I suppose could be both a good or bad thing), and folks just hanging out. It was nice.       I always had North Carolina on my radar as one of those states I definitely wanted to visit..I've seen so many pictures of it and it just drew me in. Anyhow, the state has 2 very different landscapes to it...The West side of the state is mountainous (not unlike what we have in Tamarack), therefore higher elevations, cooler temps, Forest land.
