      ... for Christmas. I know my mom and dad are sad I won't be here yet happy for Johnnie and me. Our plane leaves this afternoon and all is ready. I am awaiting Johnnie to return from work and my limousine. (It is really my mom and dad's truck but limousine sounded much more sophisticated.) We will soon be off to the airport for the next 2 days of flying. I know, we won't arrive in Cairns until December 21st! The time change is really going to mess with us. ...

      T'was the night before take off when all through the house,
      all the creatures were stirring even ourselves.
      Johnnie is crazy and I'm following suit.
      Kitty is thinking, "Can't wait to give them the boot. The stockings are hung and a decorated tree. My oh my, an adventure for me!!!!"
      The suitcases are packed, well sort of, and all our technology too.

      ... here, we continued on a to the end of the trail and turned left onto Mallard Creek Trail. It was only about a quarter-mile to the end of the trail at its namesake creek, but it was a particularly scenic section of trail with the trees draped in Spanish moss.       First stop Colonial Williamsburg, a historic town that reenacted the life in 1775 when the decision was being made for a revolution or to remain loyal to the British king.       As forecasted, the rain and wind began last evening, and continued to build during the night. We had reservations at Washington, NC today followed by three days at the Onslow Beach FAMCAMP on Camp Legeune, NC, so we debated leaving or staying here, hunkering down, and having to try to change our reservations.
