      ... Germany when they were teenagers and I was about 4 years old. Wow, was that a flashback to the 1970’s! Karin and family live in Satellite Beach (FL) and they had me over for a lovely BBQ with several of their friends including a very colorful, entertaining woman from Trinidad.       ... they are not our biscuits. People had described them as a bready thing, but struggled to find an equivalent word. I can proudly announce the answer now, they are wholewheat scones, done in a savoury way. I got out in Reno and was relieved to stretch my legs and have a proper room and shower, but I think 2 days is just about ok. I might have to go on another one, the sights are so amazing, the staff are really sweet and the people are lovely. It feels like a proper adventure ...
