We thought it would have been a little easier to just find a hotel/motel on the way but the first 20 places I called were either way too expensive or already booked. In the evening we were booked into a Motel in Pasadena. We went to eat at a new place that had opened over the road called Alfondo Hot Wings. The staff were lovely in there and they even brought Emma a free cake out for her Birthday! We had a fantastic day overall and Emma said she had one of the best Birthdays ever.

Last full day today and we are heading to Santa Monica.

... quite cheap ($1.75) - but we did discover one thing: either all Australians or maybe just us, seem to be a magnet for the typical crazies that inhabit places like this - as Kerrie got her ear bent by someone who wanted to know about what we were up to and where we were going..
