... suicide (or to prevent a prisoner from pushing them down). When you first walk in this hostel, it looks very odd and strange, but this hostel really is unique. They offer a walking-tour through the hostel every morning and I must say, I am very glad we joined that tour after spending the night there! Kirstie couldn't wait and googled the ghost stories (apparently this hostel is the most haunted place in Canada) before going to bed and consequently, she didn't sleep ...

... on the far side of Dow's Lake, crossed the locks with our bikes, and started our return journey on the other side of the canal.

It was so calm and peaceful, you would not think that you were in Canada's capital city!

After a good 2-hour ride, we rolled back into the city centre and viewed the famous stack of 8 locks ...

In addition to be being accompanied by their good wishes, I also have a spiritual totem with me provided by Lee Callan - I call him Skip. My sleeping bag just so happens to look like him.

P.S. One of my co-workers called me African Queen today, which both tickled me and engendered a small amount of affront. Mostly because I hadn't thought of the clever pun ...

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia
and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in
Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language
ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it
with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which
          roasted parts of sentences ...

... Kingston. We made our way back into Kingston past the orchard that Mathew & Michelle worked at last fruit season then to the golf course Mathew is about to start work at. Later in the afternoon Mat & I went to Lemoine's Point Conservation Area for a run, Saw plenty of squirrels and even a racoon. At 6:30 we all headed back into town for dinner at 'The Red Door'. A very pleasant pleasant evening.
