We started our day in Fort Worth at a nature reserve. We parked up at the visitors centre and started with a 1 mile walk. We immediately came across a couple of large spiders and heaps of different coloured dragonflies. Sam wasn't keen on the walk after seeing the spiders and knowing there might be snakes around. The walk itself was nice though. We came across 'Prairie Dog Town' which at the time we could only see about four of them from the fence ...
... a major tourist attraction. At the back edge of the old stockyards was a railroad roundhouse area. If we had gotten to the area a little earlier we could have seen a cattle drive with long horns but due to the accident we were too late. From there we went to see a couple of mansions of cattle barons. Beautiful old homes that were probably out in the country when they were built – now they are right by the downtown skyscrapers.

... electric for the air conditioning, and put Tex in the camper so we could take off. Peg wanted to get her nails done and a pedicure while I needed a haircut. We got these done, mine very shortly, Peg’s took a while (I had forgotten how long mani/ pedis took). I would have had time to go get the keys made.
