Today we drove to Norfolk and on the way we stopped to see the Angel of The North sculpture on the way out of Newcastle.
On the way we also saw the last flying Vulcan which was on a final tour around the country. We stopped in King's Lynn and had a look around.

Lovely day again, this time a look around North Norfolk coast starting with a coffee in Holt, one of our favourite villages. (Actually Adrian and I indulged in hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows). A mix of flint and brickwork is used in North Norfolk buildings. Oliver Cromwell inherited this house along with the title 'Farmer of the Tithes' (translation = local tax collector) and spent 10 years living in Ely. The house is still here, now serving as both the Ely Information Centre and a Museum to Oliver Cromwell. Went into the town centre of Wisbeck. Nice town. Bought a couple of supplies. We then went to Kings Lynn which is a larger town with heaps of history. Just drove around and it was hard to find a car park so cruised around. Got some fuel at a cheaper servo for 110 pence per litre which translates to about AU $2.40 a litre. Not cheap but the car gets fairly good economy ...
