Now, I understand that the whole European Union thing was intended, in part, to make travel between countries easier, but I can’t help feel that there’s a big security hole not going filled. We’ve now touched three European countries and haven’t been asked to show a passport since moving from one plane to another in Iceland …

The stones were great, super neat if only people would take their photos and get out of the way so others can do the same! The Vasa on the other hand, was brand new and on a trial sail, so whilst far, far, far better preserved, she didn’t have the riches (literally) that Kronan had. All in all, an extremely interesting ...

... were invited over at 18:15 for drinks and had the pleasure of meeting their daughter Alex and their friends Kit & Kathy. We spent a pleasant 90 minutes or so swapping notes and learned that the Halliwells have sold Freya to a friend, done a sort of boat swap for a Nimbus 32, which they will keep near St Malo in France, close to their new holiday home they have acquired there. We wish them well with this new phase in their lives, I’m sure they will enjoy ...
