Today we had an off day. We were supposed to work 7-10:30, but another couple who didn't have a job relieved us for our shift. It was really nice of them, but we also messed up. FMCA is serving breakfast each morning. We had decided last night that we would get up early and go into breakfast, so I set the alarm for 5:30. The alarm went off and we stayed in bed for a while. About 6 I got up and asked Bob if he wanted to ...

Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

Our main reason for being in Houston was to visit the Johnson Space Center (JSC). We arrived at 10am and got a spot right by the entrance, because there were not many people there. We immediately jumped on the site tour. First stop was the actual ground control center used for the 60s to 80s rocket launches. The current ground control center is one floor down. Second stop on the tour was a building where they are developing vehicles and ...

He recently visited Granada with his wife. He said my fro should work perfect there because of all the humidity. When I asked what the living conditions were like he said, "It is a couple of steps above ...

Today has been a long travelling day. I'm aboard the Sunset...this train goes from New Orleans to Los Angeles...hooking up with the Texas Eagle in San Antonio in the middle of the night...52 hours door to door. This is a civilised way to travel. Sure, a plane could do it in 3 to 4 hours, but what do you see from a plane? This amtrak has a top deck panoramic ceiling and glass windows to the floor...I'm 15 ...

... Mike catching 4 and Matt and Blake catching 1 each. I haven't seen photographic evidence yet.

We made plans to go clay pigeon shooting in the afternoon and then possibly go out with Cowboy Rob later on for some drinks and dancing. When we got back to our quarters the boys were just on their way back from fishing... it was good timing because when they got back a massive storm hit. On our first day the lady we met told us it hadn't rained in 8 weeks and there was ...
