... t go on any that said "not for those with motion sickness". The rain started in earnest about 2pm and we managed for awhile, but decided to call it a day about 4.30pm when we were all starting to flag a bit.

The next day we went to "Disney's California Adventure" Park which adjoins Disneyland. This park is more of a traditional amusement park (for those In Australia, think of the amusements at the Royal Show) - but with a strong California theme. The buildings are ...

Somehow we managed to miss the best part of Mickeys Toon Town so we decided to head over there after our ride at Space Mountain. The only problem was the Parade had started so we had to wait until the parade had finished.

The Parade was pretty good. It was quite short but probably long enough for kids at that time of the day. ...

... in to Planet Hollywood. This hotel is in the middle of "The Strip" so needless to say very very busy. We ventured out into the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas soon after checking in and were just amazed at the place. Over our 6 days there we visited a lot of the gorgeous Casinos, swam, ate and had the odd drink or two. The days were very hot , high thirties every day and no relief at night.

... see we've had many opportunities to come up with some important life strategies and deep and meaningful conversaions on topics of high intelligence. It's been great fun!

After turning the wrong way out of Downtown Disney and walking many more hundreds of metres than was necessary thanks to my lack of knowledge and Cilla's 'my-sense-of-direction-is-rarely-wrong' , we made it back to our hotel in one piece, hot and ready for a swim. ...

So with wonderful sunset over the ocean and Catalina Island in the background we had some nice evenings – one was even so special that Paul got ...
