    It's raining again!

It's raining and 11 degrees outside so from the comfort and warmth of our hotel room we decided to take the 40km direct ride rather than the 60km tourist jaunt.

By the time we'd had breakfast and were loading the Pino the rain was gone. So in a moment of weakness we decided to change to the 60km route.

The 60km route was scenic but when the guide book says "you'll have to master the occasional ascent" they ...

... strong but the Swiss know no fear it seems... Anyways glad I swam cause the hill following that just killed us. Rheinfall was the third glorious moment, as I finally gave in and withdrew my first Swiss francs. Their bills are so colorful it hurts the eye. I made good use of them though by buying tickets for the falls, a night at the Schaffhausen camping, and 2 Swiss beers (the famous one, I forgot the name). Anyways ...

Thus, my dinners came to between $60 and $90 a meal, including a half bottle of wine. Now, I may pay that in SF, but I get much better meals than I got here at two guidebook-recommended restaurants. Just mediocre German food. However, all you can do is just suck it up, do what you want to do, and hope that Montenegro will be so cheap later in ...

... as a result of mis-identification of targets intended for Germany. However, the most spectacular natural phenomenon to be found in the region are the falls of the Rhein river. Due to the recent heavy rainfalls and resultant high water levels, the cascading river is particularly loud today and spraying lots of mist across the viewing platforms. We call in at a local supermarket on the way back to Thayngen to purchase some supplies for an impromptu barbecue. ...

the gift shop that was here. Sorry Cadbury, but I think you have been defeated! !

We planned on taking some time out in Baden at the thermal baths, which turned out to be a waste of time cause they were closed! Nevertheless we still have a story to tell from this venture out of Zurich. As we were walking back to the train station already disappointed in the trip, in front of us are trees that happen to drop a tone of leaves, so ...
