    ... waiting, I looked up to see a man in a car with his arm hanging out of the window, and a woman holding it. When he grimaced, I looked closer and saw that the woman holding his arm was actually poking him with a syringe. A drive-thru injection. And I can't decide if that's clever or just wrong. Certainly not as sanitary as I'm used to, but convenient, no?

    Reached Santa Cruz late last night, found motel without too much trouble and managed to have swim in the pool and a long long soak in jacuzzi. Nice morning at the fairground/boardwalk, kids went on roller coasters and various shows.
