... uneventful, with the freeways relatively quiet at that hour of a very cold night. Our taxi driver's attempt to extract a tip by helping us with our luggage was thwarted when he opened the boot of his taxi to find it devoid of anything resembling luggage - a conundrum for him, given where we had travelled from. After warm greetings from S&M and plenty of chat over a cup of tea and a slice of freshly baked apple cake it was time to call it quits and have a ...

    • Arrived to the hotel, got into my room, ordered food - at almost 2am - and started calling my Italian travel agent to figure out what to do to get back home

... to remind me of my holiday (a souvenir if you will) but not be as tacky as hell I decided that I would get something with #StupidPhegley on it. As I was walking down South State Street I happened across a shop called lids which sells baseball caps. In the window they had an advert for embroidery so I decided that I would get a White Sox cap and get #StupidPhegley stitched onto it. I picked myself a White Sox Batting Practice cap and asked one of the employees if ...
