    Hello friends Pleasant night in comfortable Fresno hotel with no bar, no alcohol!!! Alex are you trying to tell us something. A night off will serve us well. All set now for our Yosemite adventure. Can't believe we are in temps of over 100 degrees F everyday and enjoying it ...

    ... place (it had a kitchenette - yay) we stopped in Oakhurst at a grocery store and picked up some spaghetti, sauce, cheese, bread for supper and lots of snacks for the road since we now had a car - doritos, cheesy garlic bread Lays (why don't they have those in Canada!?) and some Coke and Dr Pepper, as well as a few other snacks - crackers, gum.

    I also forgot to mention the heat - it was soooo warm...for the end of Sept, ...

    ... later but all very manual. Quite an impressive place with 50 plus year old fruit trees and grape vines (still fruiting), growing below ground level up through openings in the ceiling. Sadly he dies before it was completed and his family have opened it up for tourists. It was a nice cool way to spend the morning much nicer underground.     ... that they were Acorn Woodpeckers who were taking acorns and hiding them in holes in the bark of the trees. Moving from the birds it wasn't long before we encountered a tarantula crossing the road. Of course I had to make sure he got across safely. Apparently they are quite common in Sequoia.

    ... cousins who were there celebrating their 10th wedding aniversary. We saw a fantastic Cirque du Solei show at the Bellagio which was a mixture of acrobatics and syncronised swimming and went to a crazy show called 'The Blue Man Group'. We also did some of the scariest rides we have ever been on at the top of the Stratosphere which is a Tower that stands 32 floors high overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. Vegas is an incredible place but, 3 days is enough!
