... church was under renovation, it was still open to inspection. Apparently most catholic churches never lock their doors, unlike their protestant rivals! It is always quite weird walking around an empty church, but the church is the symbolic centre of village life and is seen as a meeting place as well as a spiritual place.
After that it was time for trifle cups and the Formula One! You can't get a more relaxing day!
... still there to this day.
The museum itself is housed in the original workshop and contrary to what one might think it houses a wide range of vintage cars, motorcycles and bicycles. It is a small, private museum, which has support from Mercedes Benz, who lent the 2010 Formula One Mercedes from Michael Schumacher to the exhibit. I wanted to make the most of my new semester ticket, which just cost me 150 Euros, so I took the tram to Mannheim to take some photos. It will come in handy for sure.
I got off at the Collini ...

We got lucky with the weather and I was able to take a few nice photos out and about with my 40mm pancake lens. It really makes you think about what you can take a photo of because it has a fixed focal length. But its a really compact combo and its lighter than carrying around a zoom lens.
I still take around half the shots with my compact camera as well! See if you can tell the difference.
