A nice sleep in today (6:00) good buffet breakfast, and we were "wheels rolling"at 7:30 on our way to Germany. The motorway to Germany was not particularly interesting and Bern suggested that we would not be missing much if we had a nap. :). The proper name is Kirchweih, but every region ...

I landed in Frankfurt after a sleepless 7 hour flight, and it was time to face a full new day. On the first day I managed to make it a full 30 hours walking around the city and getting all the essentials out of the way before finally crashing in my cozy new dorm room. ...

... we decided to celebrate on Saturday evening, which is technically Sunday morning in Australia!

Steffie had ideas running through her head the whole week and on Friday we baked the Anzac biscuits and Steffie made lamingtons. She was in the kitchen all of Saturday preparing the sausage rolls, mini meat pies for the pea soup, homemade tim tams, pavlova and cheese and vegemite twists.

Even though it was 5 degrees outside, we dressed up in shorts and flip flops and everyone ...
