    ... we stopped by a display of airplanes and weaponry. Dan took some pictures of those, too. He learned that this base was once the largest SAC Air Force base (SAC meant airplanes that carried nuclear weapons), but they closed the base (as an AF base) several years ago and made it a joint Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps air base.

    ... formerly known as the Confederate Air Force) in Midlands, TX, but they are closed on Sunday.

    So now we are in Fort Worth. We have a comfortable suite at the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites at NAS Fort Worth (formerly Carswell AFB). We found a barbecue place for supper after we checked in - Dickey's Pit Barbecue. The food was good and plentiful, though a little more informally served than one would expect for the price.

    ... are no bigger than regular plane, almost seem more cramped. Hearing the people next to us speaking German makes it real. Pilot also. It is almost 6 pm but really 1 am in Germany.     After breakfast we were off again. First we drove through the old Fort Wolters. They have used a lot of the old buildings as business warehouses but also have revamped several and people now live in them. After that short drive, we made our way into town to visit the Crazy Water store. Crazy Water comes from a couple of the mineral wells in this area.     Today started with eating and ended with eating. It's the last day of the rally and it is usually a very slow day. Started the day with breakfast. Lots of variety. They had breakfast burritos, donuts, cut up fruit and cereal.
