Today we drive from Dallas to Denver. About 800 miles. We didn't actually drive through Oklahoma, but we took a 5 mile detour so we could say "we've been to OK!" Ate lunch at coyote bluff cafe in Amarillo. Little hole in the wall but best burger and chili cheese fries ...

    The Sixth Day (Denver)

After looking at the maps on all these companies' sites (all some variation of the officially-issued map from one year or another), I'd decided on a couple of areas, and called Custom Getaways to get just a little more clarification. I made a decision, and started to fill out the booking form to send back.

On the back of the form, I noticed ...

... reservations (which come at a small additional fee) before getting on board. TGVs are among those trains, so we also got reservations on the Montpellier->Lyon train, since we know when we'll be doing that. The rest, we'll play by ear.

So, we have our rail, the airfare has been taken care of, I've got our ferry booked, and the campervan is set. I guess all I need to do is pack.......which is a whole other Oprah. :)
