The mound was not as well kept up as some of the others, making it a little more difficult to see the cross-shape. The greenery growing ONLY on the mound helped to make it a little more obvious. Felt to me like a special place...

Also read about the colonists using small pox as a weapon against the Indians, who had no immunity to the disease. Colonists would give "gifts" of blankets infected by the disease to a community and wait for the virus to decimate the Indian families.

Still amazed at the some of the detail that can be seen in some of the earliest artwork and tools from these communities. ...
