Sadly because of roof maintenance we were unable to see\walk onto the field which was pretty disappointing. Interestingly enough both of us were extremely surprised at how small the field actually is in real life. It looks much bigger on TV!

Headed east from Champaign where I lost an hour crossing into Indiana and the Eastern timezone. I continued eastwards on the interstate bound for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to collect my parking permit for the race tomorrow. Keen to get a look around the city before heading out to the speedway, we trotted off into a bright crisp morning about 8.30am. As we are staying in the heart of the city, we are in walking distance of most its attractions. Having found a canal area on Trip advisor that looked picturesque, we headed North. Stumbling over the canal, complete with gondolas about 30 minutes later, it was indeed a lovely part of town.
