    Took the high speed train from Amsterdam to Brussels this morning. The trip took two hours - James clocked the speed of the train at 300km/hr! We were very pleased with our hotel here.     On Thursday 15th August we caught a train from Brussels to a place called Bastogne where the Belgian GP was being held. When we arrived in Bastogne we had to walk, carrying a tent, all our clothes and some food. We had to walk 1km up a road. We arrived at the track.     We got back from Motox last night about 10 pm....tired, dirty but happy. Fortunately there was room for us at the Youth Hostel. Great to have a real bed and not to hear chainsaws at 4 am!! Today we have done a little!! Sightseeing ...the Palace and Park ...both very picturesque. Oh yes......a stack of washing!! And girls......some shopping.....very practical though.....sports ...

    ... picturesque park (with the obligatory swan and tons of ducks) this hotel was amazing. You could see the European Parliament from one side and within 10mins walk of all the EU bureaucratic buildings and a beautiful large park left over from a World Exposition earlier in the 20th century. Best of all was that there was a Neuhaus Chocolate store in the lobby. That's right, THE LOBBY!!! We then had a great 2days exploring central brussels. The main town square, the in-town ...
