... and started the longest van day. I have been enjoying chilling in the van after a hectic couple of days. I think I'm starting to get sick too which sucks but I think was inevitable. I have been eating more mandarins than I thought humanly possible. The desert is definitely not a forgiving environment. My face and hands have completely dried out. ... Fortunately Tera Rankin, who was our wrangler and guide, was very quick to spot the problem and sort it out. However, at least for a short period we can say that 3 of us were enjoying a horse-back ride whilst one of us was enjoying a horse-side ride! Anyone that ever feels like they are too old to do something or too busy to follow their dreams needs to look no further than this intrepid old hero. I am actually going to challenge anyone following me on my journey to better themselves in someway. Be it in fitness or meditation or just personal well being. ... oatmeal for breakfast then take snacky things with us tomorrow to the Aquarium/Natural History/Planetarium. Hopefully we can take food in but if not we will just get our hands stamped and eat in the park outside. We did bring 6 bottles of wine, wish I’d brought the hard stuff too as some may prefer rum instead.

We packed up and were on the road around 9.30am, it was good we got to sleep in a bit. Did my first waste dump from the RV and guess what i didn't do a Robin Williams like in the movie. We drove out of the forest on the long winding road, it was going to be a slow drive out but we had plenty of time. We were on the road for a couple of hours and pulled in to Fresno for lunch, we opened the door and went my God where did that heat come from. ...
