    ... it was pretty boring as fog quickly covered the whole area making any sort of views impossible to see... Now all we were doing was praying for sun and sea, which we finally got once we hit Highway 1!! Up to Ano Nuevo State Park just north of Santa Cruz is where we would start our drive down H1. It is mating season for the Elephant Seals here so we had to go on a guided tour down to them. Sam was our guide... an elderly gentleman who was on his 16th season ...

    We watched and filmed for a while, then I said, in a slightly panicky voice "I think you should get off the roof, bears can probably climb those steps!" We both retreated into the van as they came to check us out - they were only about five feet ...

    ... were not broken down and if the guy hadn't given me a kitchen knife to cut the tape I would have been really stuck. Michael and I were able to get about 40-50 small medium and large boxes for FREE! As a dedicated free product Junkie I really cant express my happiness at this boxie windfall!

    We are planning to get our moving cube on May 9th and leave ourselves on the 14th. I hope we get everything done on time.
