    ... or crashing." Well, that's the question we're all asking on some level, I guess.

    We then were parked on Highway 10 for an hour to move 10 miles to finally arrive on Ocean Blvd to our hotel Loews Santa Monica! Arrived at 8:30.

    Dinner at Pizza Antica at 9:30, and it was nothing like the original Pizza Antica's up north. Blah. We walked the 3rd St Promenade and headed back the hotel.

    We had a lovely day but I was exhausted!

    ... After a delicious Italian buffet dinner, all celebrants joined to toast the 3 family members with milestone birthdays this year - Lela 75, Marilyn 75, and Evelyn 80. An especially tender moment was when our waiter Christopher asked for a photo together with the 3 birthday girls to post on his Facebook page.     ... so that was all good. Once inside, all the rides and activities are free, and we enjoyed lots of things. I went on the merry-go-around with Sakura......and on the Dragon train - which Aya brought Alyssa on too, in a sling.     ... cooking required way more effort. Eating out was so cheap in Beijing. I have experience so many funny reverse culture shock.

    Later, Mohini and I returned to her place. Her roommate Monica was up. We all decided to cook lunch. It was so nice to not have greasy food. In Beijing, I mainly ate greasy food because that was the only available thing on campus and near UIBE.

He apparently has been spotted many times since, so the owner has to put up a warning sign in case people go walk through the forest so they can be aware, and also for insurance reasons apparently! He said that there are similar signs all over the national park nearby for the same reasons!
