... Scandinavian feel with more in the way of trees and woodland. Quick 'comfort break' just outside of Epernay (see photo and comments) and time to take the roof down. Weather hotting up nicely eventually hitting a rather warm 33.5 degrees by early afternoon (so glad I decided last minute not to wear long trousers!!). Back on the road after Epernay stop, Mr Ribbons took a brief snooze and I drove for the ...

Behind me lays Shep, or le Shep, a gorgeous, well behaved sheep dog, maybe the shyest of his kind, who has done his best to keep his boundaries in the last couple of hours under tremendous strain, not least from me. campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. The surrounds and scenery are beautiful, mountains as far as can be seen. Must be excellent for winter ski season too. Hot still. Summer has certainly hit! ...

Faucogney is in a National Parc Regional Des Ballons Des Vosges. Great area is south west corner of Vosges. Haute -Saone. Aire. Brilliant and purpose built for 4 vans by the sports fields a short walk from Centre Ville. Services perfect for 2€ the quietest Aire to spend a few days. Really like this place. This is a very interesting village. Oh my word. I didn't expect to see anything quite like this little hamlet. The clock has stopped it seems after the Second World War. ...

We went there cause we wanted to go to the some camping called Les Hirondelles (18€) which we discovered last year. It is nice, quiet and out of our book of small campings. A big advantage is that the lady of the camping cooks a wonderful trout which comes out of their private lake, so again we really enjoyed our evening dinner on their terrace. They still remembered us and we chatted a little with our neighbors as well. We were quite tired so went for a ...
