Last but best of all we went to see the most beautiful church either of us have ever seen called Temppeliaukion Kirkko. It is hewn into solid rock and has the most beautiful roof lined in copper.

After all those churches we were quite exhausted so went back to our hotel for a short rest before setting off again to meet Jean and Alina at the station to go ...

This was a very traditional Finnish restaurant with a buffet. The lady owner explained to us what everything was and what it was to be eaten with. Luckily we were making our way to our final destination - Helsinki in Finland.

I can't imagine, when daylight is reduced to about 3 – 4 hours a day, snow is banked up all over the place and the temperature is around minus 20 degrees regularly, that you would prefer Winter to Summer? But part of the not so fond feeling for Summer is the rain. It was raining as she spoke to us about her love of Winter. Afternoon Summer rain just pelts down, making it almost impossible to drive and enjoy any sightseeing.
