... Sforzesco for a brief walk around - it is huge and beautifully built with rounded brick turrets and huge courtyards. We decided not to catch the metro but walk through the city, it is more interesting that way. We then visited the Duomo for an inside look. Alas, all good things come to an end and we land in Milan at 8:30pm to a deserted Milan airport. There is nobody anywhere except two bored Immigration Officers who just stamp the passports without looking at anything, welcome to Italy. So we collect our bags and find our Emirates Limo driver and his new S320 Mercedes Benz and hit the freeway for the 50KM trip ...
... it, so they recommended a cafe further along the lakeside. 20 minutes walk later, we were sitting there, drinking our coffees and cokes, and watching the swans and ducks on the lake. A short walk further to the next ferry stop - and the heavens opened again, only this time it was torrential. Once on the ferry we could barely see the shore!
Getting back to Como was stopped at a restaurant / gelaterie for a lovely lunch, and by 2:30 we were in the car ready to start the ...

We found the car park easily enough, but were extremely hot and bothered already from the heat and lugging our stuff to the car. As we were re-packing bags, getting organised and waiting for the sat nav to locate us, we headed to the exit 20 minutes after paying for our ticket (we didn't realise it had been that long), only for the machine to politely inform us that we needed to pay an extra €1.60.
