    ... there are steam rooms, hot tubs, coffee bar, indoor and outdoor pools. There are all sorts of places to shower with different kinds of water..some ice cold, some with jets, some with ice in a bucket by your side.

    Meersburg has made it to the list of my all time favorite towns. It is on the north side of Lake Konstanze and was another German city spared bombing. Consequently it's medieval architecture is evident in just about everything. So many people out today. It boasts the largest castle in Germany and has the most incredible lakeside promenade.     The city has one large island that is a hiker and bikers dream. It is also the home of a huge island wise market garden industry.     ... the 249 winding stairs inside the dusty, web filled tower. The views were great from the top and from the lower level (189 steps) with vistas across the Lake taking in the ships and the Zeppelin’s circling from a nearby town- 790 Euro for a 120 minute ride (no thanks)! Then it was time to head back to the car and the 90 minutes drive (including 15 minute Ferry ride) to our hotel at the other end of the lake.
