... a number of face lifts over the centuries - Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque. The current facade of the 1950's reflects communist social realism and instead of the usual parade of saints, the figures are the average worker: miner, farmer, athlete, scientist, housewife etc. The chimes are two men striking an anvil with a pick and hammer but the best part is the end where a golden rooster mounted in the centre of the clock crows and flaps it's wings. It's hilarious and Jack took a video.
... food!!!! Wow ! We met another couple (on their honeymoon of all things to be on tour for) from Canada called Sarah and Sebastian. They were great and sitting next to them were two girls from Sydney who we wont forget in a hurry. Fei and Georgie my god were those two funny. They were the type of people who no one could hate. They just laughed and mostly picked on me for the night but it was good.

Supper tonight was really good - a couple of people had pig's knuckles which tasted divine (I had pasta with chargrilled veg and supposedly spicy sausage but couldn't taste it at all...am suspicious they didn't include it). Up early tomorrow so am off to bed (rather than going drinking).

Today I joined the Busabout tour group. There are 44 people on the tour total. 1 other American, 2 Canadians, a few Brits and a lot of Aussies. I will be traveling with this group through Czech Republic, to Poland, through Slovakia, to Hungary and then finally to Croatia. Out first stop today is in Kutna Hora. It is a UNESCO site.
