What an excellent place to stay ! Breakfast was good, quite a lot to choose from, the metro station is only a 5-10 minute walk away, tram stations are all nearby as well, there are lots of good restaurants within short walking distance (I recommend Osteria Delle Corti), even a supermarket if you're looking for that sort of thing. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Well our visit to Milan came earlier than expected as we had planned to rent a car and make our way up to Mount Blanc for the night and head to Milan the next morning. However, as we woke up in Turin to a downpour, we decided to rent the car anyways and head up the mountain to see what the visibility was like - if you guessed the visibility was …

Even the hundreds of mosquitos couldn't scare us away from sitting and enjoying the atmosphere, making the most of our last ...

... at a most inopportune moment. When we arrived in Como, even I needed a strong drink. Como was very busy with people out shopping. Lisa and Ruth found all the jewellery shops - we also frequented a few makeup and granita shops. We had a lovely afternoon wandering in the sun. We made it home for bourbon and Prosecco in the setting ...

... recent GPS fun to Allen and so we decided to go back up the narrow cobblestone street. We were 100 metres up the street and we discovered it was not the one we had both successfully mastered earlier in the was narrower. As driver I made the easy decision to continue. It was easy because there was really no option except to reverse a long way. The road became narrower and I clipped the mirror, time to fold them ...

... us with some direction. He called over his friend who understood more English than he did......which likely was about ten more words than his friend. But, I felt he really tried to be helpful, pointing back in the opposite direction that we just came, indicating the second set of lights, turn right!

So, back we walked, past the first set of lights but there wasn't a second set of lights. Now I was confused! And, I was certain we were headed in the wrong ...
