Hi Ciaran, I was really excited and surprised to learn more about Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It's not a big town, but it is the birthplace of one of the United States' most honored Presidents, Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln (sometimes called "Honest Abe") spent most of his life in the state of Illinois, so I did not know that he was born in Kentucky until I studied for our map blog! I wish I had spent the night here. I would love to stay all night here, but I am not in the area to spend the evening, I am in one of my hiking moods.
I was on a road trip back to Nashville and decided to stop and check out the Myrtledene Manor.
... so I will just have to buck up and walk out the door without them.
Time to do a final final check to make sure nothing has been forgotten, one last cuddle with mu pups and then out the door we go!

I cannot believe it is almost here! And thank goodness the rain has stopped for now because I was afraid the friend taking us to the airport was going to have to track down an ark to get us there!
