In Texas for a few days to catch up with my little niece Natalie and enjoy some modern luxuries also gave me the chance to experience some Texan culture.....

If visiting my first Walmart was not enough excitement for the first day, then the next activity on my tour guides (Nat and Luke) agenda sure gave a bit more in site into the state. My location for ...

We woke up to the sad news that Josh Canal passed away last night. Josh is the son or our teammate, Joe Canal. Joe isn't riding because his son's health had deteriorated since he was selected to be on the team. Josh was in desperate need of a second heart transplant that unfortunately did not come in time.

We decided to dedicate this years LSCOL Tour to Josh's memory this year.

I’m writing this on Tuesday night (1/12) and Tamara is sleeping. This time three nights from now she and I will be in two BUSINESS CLASS (grins!) seats on our way to Rio; just the first small starting point on our ten month adventure circling the globe. I ...

OKAY! The adventure is becoming real now! We got confirmation from a WWOOF farm in Argentina. WWOOF is a worldwide organization where you work on an organic farm and learn about sustainable living in exchange for room and board (well, sort of, we have to bring our own tent!) Depending on the country, they might give you a preview of host farms, but to get the contact information you have to pay the membership fee ...
