    This morning we started our drive to Nanaimo. We were headed that way to 1) eat nanaimo bars and 2) go further north to see Cathedral Grove. It take about an hour and a half to get to Nanaimo from Victoria and the drive, albeit slow due to the single lane highway, was quite pretty.     ... space was nice to have. I was asked if I would like a drink and asked for a scotch, only to be told that they only had Canadian Club. I settled for a beer, but only got half way through as the beer was taken from me when the plane prepared for take off. Again a meal was served - a very uncooked pasta dish, but I did enjoy the bun and butter.

    ... straight up! Nevermind though, we still had fun! :) Ahh, can't believe we saw orcas, it was so amazing!!! Afterwards we stopped off for lunch and then wandered around town some more. Once we got home we had a Skype session with Benny's parents and then also with Dan & Aleisha - thanks for taking us shopping guys hehe.

    Saying goodbye to Jim and Jen and Galiano. A great two day break from travelling and its pitfalls. Feeling somewhat rejuvenated. Can’t thank our hosts enough for the wonderful break,

    First stop on the way to Tofino was Duncan, small town with a lot of totem poles and the worlds biggest hockey stick. Thats about it. Next was Coombs for the old country market - which has goats on the roof. That was the main highlight, well that and the ice-cream.
