      June 1st, 2015. This is where it begins. We've already sold everything we own. We have moved out of our house and into a shared accommodation. We're cancelling bills and saving money like crazy. For the next 7 months, everything we do is in preparation.

      ... part of Galiano, the owners did comply with the rezoning requirements under the hard-fought for bylaws and donated the required land to the community. Consequently, we and others on the island now benefit from access to a large wild area that provides a wonderful place to hike and spectacular views over both sides of Galiano. We are grateful to those, past and present, who dedicate themselves to protecting this special place!

      ... rocks several metres from the seals. There were a lot of red starfish and even a couple of the sunburst stars I was hoping to see on our kayak trip. There were small jellyfish floating around too and I definitely got a stinger on my face - the only part of my skin that was exposed. Ed shouted out another warning to us.
