    Jos and Fenny take me to nearby Assen to see the Drents Museum (gallery). The building is old, not surprising, and has been lifted to allow windows to be placed at the bottom.     Familiar faces and another warm welcome that reminds me how fortunate I am to have such a family, both at home and here. I happily handover the suitcase for Jos to carry upstairs, I can manage it on and off trains and planes and over footpaths etc, but also happy to delegate on stair-occasions.     From Volendam we travelled across The Afsluitdijk which is a 27km man made road which divided the sea and created a giant lake whilst solving The Netherlands problems of continuos flooding.     Today the wind blew and blew, fortunately it was behind us. We flew through the first 10km until a slight misjudgement meant we had to retrace 100m, the wind was so strong it nearly took us 5 minutes to do so.

    ... them. The pool was quiet. Just the right conditions to see how well my shoulder would cope with swimming after 8 months. It turned quite well with minimal stiffness. Good start! The pool also had a hydroslide, whirl pool and bubble bath so we played in them all.
