Having reached the Deep South, it was time to head West with several states to cross.
My trip first took me across the Florida Panhandle towards Alabama, where I found a couple of Kingdom Halls on backroads in quick succession. The first was in Monroeville:
They're in the process of putting a more substantial sign at the front of this hall, which stands in a very rural area.
... quite impressed with his offer.
Moved into town (Norman) to be closer to things. Stayed 2 nights at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds. Nice, spacious, clean space. Full hookups $20/night. All self serve. I wanted to go too and meet them all. So when I said I wanted to go also, they all chimed in with a "You should!" I really didn't need much encouragement. I really want to get the first stamp in my Passport, but mostly I want to meet these wonderful people.
