... of funds); possible change in plans; rooms not quite as advertised. There are so many lodgings that are not advertised in these (third world  know, this might offend some - just take it with a grain of salt - I'm not looking down my nose at anyone]) countries, that many are cheaper and better than what's on the net. Once I start running into other travelers, I'll get more recent info then what's on the net.

And then it was foggy desert for miles and miles straight south. The road was great - good surface, and totally empty. No limit outside of the towns, so I let the bike set the speed. ... picture was in Monterrey, never saw it before, but the emblem on the front looks like it may be a Pontiac. Cute car.

The statue of St Catherine is in the town of Santa Catarina. All of the towns in Mexico have art objects displayed, so much more than in the US.

We arrived at Saltillo around 4 pm and heard a squeak as we were turning into the drive coming from the MH. Could it be the new brakes or a wheel bearing going? Bill will look further into it tomorrow.

... no funny graduation hats and only the teachers and a few graduates wore robes. I found out that only the masters graduates wore them. There was the usual legthy speaches (I think it may have been easier to make through since i had no idea what he was saying because i could pretend it was extreamly interesting and enlightning...hee-hee) and then each graduate went up when thier name was called and the masters students recieved sliver hoods with a ...
