... leaving DC, we visited the Fords Theatre, where John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln. It was strange seeing where it all happened, including where Lincoln died. It was time to say goodbye to Washington - albeit a quick visit, but we really enjoyed our time. This trip coincided with Donelle's birthday and a weekend so we decided to go away to celebrate by visiting the famous Frank Lloyd Wright designed Fallingwater. Our road trip took us through three states, over big rolling heavily wooded hills and finishing in Maryland at the Savage River Lodge. We stopped in a tiny town off the highway to fill up with petrol and have lunch because we spotted a cafe. Turns out when we went in it wasn't a cafe but a gambling den, no coffee to be had. That ...

... lawn chair, a big elephant (that I almost beat up some kids to climb), corn hole and tons of fun people! It was great.

Later we went back to the house and continued a night of card games, junk food, embarrassing moments and other shena****ns, The next morning sucked. I don't even want to talk about it... But that was a LONG road trip home.

Regardless though! 4th of July in Deep Creek was one ot the best weekends of my life!!! ...
