    ... or Moose/Elk and as we didn't want to deprive Santa of one of his transport engines we had the moose. Can I tell you, it was the most tender, tasty pice of meat I have ever eaten! To help us through this gastronomic feast Christian has invited his mother Kori and father Bjiorn as well.     Day 13 - Alesund

    After a relaxing day yesterday I was up nice and early to be on deck as we entered Stor Fjord.
    The ship seemed to be floating as the water was so calm, it was Sunday so all was quiet as we arrived in Alesund.

    Whilst it had been wonderful at the last few ports to see snow on the mountains it made a lovely change to see green mountains and have a balmy 6 degrees, although the wind was quite chilly.

    ... br> The bus duly arrived and a few hours later, we arrived and checked into the Rica Scandinavie Hotel. Ålesund, with about 40,000 people, seemed even more special when seen from the top of Mt. Aksla, an easy climb not far from our hotel. The buildings, painted mainly in white and grey and seemingly with black outlines, looked like they were made from pieces of Lego.
